XHTML 2 Is Dead, Long Live HTML 5

John Gruber:

The W3C’s XHTML 2 effort is (thankfully) now officially dead, not just effectively dead. This is good news for HTML 5, as there’s no longer any dispute over the future of HTML.

Now that we all know which train to get on, all we have to do is get on board.
